About the West Geauga Chamber of Commerce

Connecting Business and Community

Founded in 2022, the West Geauga Chamber of Commerce was created to support the businesses, organizations, and people who make the West Geauga community a great place to live, work, and do business.

Our mission is to encourage sustainable economic growth while strengthening the foundations of the West Geauga community through collaboration. We bring businesses, community organizations, local leaders, schools, and residents together to build relationships, share resources, and create opportunities that benefit the entire area. Supporting Local Business Growth

A strong community starts with strong local businesses. The Chamber works to foster business growth and development through programs and resources designed to help area businesses become more successful, visible, and connected. Throughout the year, we provide opportunities for members to:

Helping Businesses Build Their Digital Skills

The West Geauga Chamber is also a Grow with Google partner, helping connect area businesses and professionals with training and resources from Google. Chamber members currently have access to a free Google Career Certificate scholarship, giving businesses an opportunity to help employees develop valuable skills and earn professional credentials in growing fields. Through educational programs, technology resources, and Grow with Google opportunities, we aim to help local organizations keep pace with an increasingly digital business environment.

Strengthening the West Geauga Community

The Chamber's purpose has always extended beyond individual businesses. Our bylaws call for the Chamber to promote, protect, and serve the civic, social, and general business interests of Chesterland and the surrounding area, while encouraging a unified spirit throughout the community. That means creating opportunities for businesses to work together while also supporting the schools, organizations, events, and initiatives that make the West Geauga area stronger. We believe businesses thrive when their communities thrive—and that collaboration between local businesses, schools, government, nonprofit organizations, and residents creates opportunities that no single organization can create alone.

Connecting Businesses With the West Geauga School Community

One of the Chamber's distinguishing priorities is strengthening connections between the business community and the West Geauga School District. The Chamber's mission specifically emphasizes strengthening the foundations of the West Geauga School District through community collaboration. By bringing educators, business leaders, students, families, and community organizations together, we can help strengthen the relationship between education, workforce development, and the future of our local economy.

Promoting Our Members

Being part of the Chamber also gives businesses additional opportunities to increase their visibility within the community. Our online Member Directory makes it easier for residents and other businesses to discover Chamber members, while Chamber communications and social media provide additional opportunities to highlight local organizations, events, accomplishments, and community involvement. When possible, we encourage residents and businesses throughout the area to support Chamber members and shop local.

Collaboration Makes Our Community Stronger

The West Geauga Chamber does not operate in isolation. Our events and programs have included collaborations with neighboring chambers, Geauga Growth Partnership, local government representatives, area businesses, schools, and other community organizations. These partnerships expand the opportunities available to our members while strengthening the connections between West Geauga and the greater Geauga County business community.

Our Board of Directors

The West Geauga Chamber of Commerce is led by local business and community professionals who volunteer their time to help advance the Chamber's mission.
